Today, we're announcing OpLend's governance!
We want bondholders to have a real say over the operations they fund, so we've opened governance directly on the platform. From now on the critical decisions that affect an operation go to a on-chain vote, and the people holding that operation tokenized bonds can make their votecount.

How is it working?
Voting runs on Snapshot, the standard tool for token-weighted voting across DeFi. It works with signed messages, so casting a vote costs no gas. Your voting weight comes from how many bond tokens you hold, read at a fixed block when the vote opens, which means nobody can shuffle tokens around to inflate their weight once voting has started. Every vote and every result is public and anyone can verify it.Each bond gets its own governance space. That keeps every decision scoped to the holders actually exposed to that operation, so someone holding operation 1 votes on operation 1 and nothing else. You'll find the space for each bond linked from its page on the platform and listed on snapshot.org.
First vote
The first vote opens Wednesday. It's on operation 1, and the question is straightforward: close the operation early and return capital to holders, or keep it running to term. The outcome is decided by the vote, not by us.Everything is already up, the operation on the platform and the governance space on snapshot.org. If you hold operation 1, connect the wallet you subscribed with and your voting weight shows up on its own.
You can see the vote here! Voting opens on Wednesday for opLend-1 holders
